Geoff Dann


Business Experience

Geoff Dann founded Dann Asset Advisors in 2011 following 17 years managing equity and fixed income investments as vice president and co-portfolio manager at Lingold Associates, a private family office and registered investment advisor. Prior to Lingold, Geoff worked for five years as a sell-side equity analyst at Salomon Smith Barney and for the three prior years as a corporate attorney at Kaye Scholer LLP.

Not for Profit Activities

Geoff joined the board of The Reading Team in spring 2017 and has served on the investment committee of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference since 2013. From 2011 until 2015, Geoff was a board member and treasurer of the Black Rock Forest Consortium. He also served ten years as trustee for the Cary Institute, leading the organization’s investment committee for most of that time.


Geoff received his BA degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and JD degree from the New York University School of Law. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family and is an avid gardener and hiker. Geoff is a member of the Catskill 3500 Club and has hiked one-third of the Appalachian Trail over the past decade.


Fee Structure and Additional Information

We provide investment management services on a fee-only (no commissions) basis. Our standard investment advisory fee is based on a percentage of the assets that we manage for you. The percentage begins at 1.0% per year (charged 0.25% quarterly) for the first million dollars of assets with lower percentages on assets over $1 million. Financial planning services are offered only to investment advisory clients and the fee is an additional $1,000 per year, charged $250 per quarter. Client relationships begin at a minimum of $500,000 in investable assets.
